This has been the mission of BasketballOver40® since Day One. It takes faith in the process — and real appreciation for what this program stands for — to be part of it. The Equal Competition system builds the fairest games possible and gets everyone real playing time, but it's what each player brings that actually makes this work.
What we expect from every player
Honor the game. It's what you love, and it's why you're here.
Encourage your opponents. Their best brings out your best.
Play with integrity. Your effort and your values define you — not whether your team won or lost.
When calls are unclear, we ask ourselves
Does this call honor the spirit of the program?
Would giving up the possession serve the game better?
Do I honestly believe I was fouled or violated?
If the facts still aren't clear — shoot for it.
